Since early August, hundreds if not thousands of people have been dropping ice buckets over themselves in support of people afflicted by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Videos are quickly making their rounds on Twitter and Facebook. The goal: to raise mass awareness amongst the general public and raise funds for research and provide support for people with ALS and their family.
