We are delighted to announce that our Founder and Creative Director, Kim, has been awarded by Artistri Sud as Social Entrepreneur of the Year!

Artistri Sud’s annual event, Tales of Triumph, is an early celebration of International Women’s day. It takes place to recognize the individuals who exemplify the organization’s commitment to empowering women through entrepreneurship. Those who were honoured are doing remarkable work as role models and decision-makers who create change and raise awareness about important social issues from a business perspective. We would like to extend our congratulations to Sarah Carey for her Entrepreneur of the Year award, and to Danièle Henkel on her Lifetime Achievement award. In recognizing the fact that men, too, have an important role in advancing women’s equality, our congratulations goes out to Frank Bernard, recipient of the Outstanding Support of Women’s Entrepreneurship award.

Kim has catalyzed noteworthy social change through her leadership here at Phil, fuelled by her belief that “as a society we have to focus on the role businesses can play in doing good.” Her innovative approach to social entrepreneurship keeps us all on track to help change makers and their organizations do more good, even better. In the wake of receiving this honour, Kim looks forward to a time where women have more options in raising a family while raising a business and changing the world. For the next year of women’s empowerment, Kim is focussing on re-defining what success means in business.
